On 21 November 2024, I, Gregor Wimmer, was able to experience a very special day: the Austrian IT & Consultants Day 2024organised by the UBIT Association of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

The event took place in the magnificent setting of the Vienna Hofburg, a place that is perfect for celebrating outstanding achievements and visionary ideas.

In addition to the opportunity to listen to inspiring presentations and network with colleagues from the industry, I personally found the Official award of my Certified Management Consultant (CMC) Diploma is the absolute highlight.

The Certified Management Consultant (CMC) is one of the world's most prestigious awards in the consulting industry.

What the CMC title means.

The international seal of quality is awarded by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and stands for excellence, expertise and integrity in management consultancy.

The prerequisites for certification are extensive professional experience, excellent customer references and sound expertise.

In addition, every CMC consultant undertakes to adhere to strict ethical standards. Only around 8,000 consultants worldwide hold this title, making it a true seal of quality.

For me, the CMC is not only recognition of my achievements to date, but also an incentive to continue developing innovative and sustainable solutions for my customers.

Diana Kinnert: Loneliness in the technological age

Diana KinnertCDU politician, entrepreneur and publicist, spoke in her lecture about the increasing Loneliness in the technological age.

She shed light on how digitalisation and automation can make many processes easier, but at the same time weaken social relationships and interpersonal ties.

Her presentation was an urgent appeal to focus on social intelligence and to design technologies in such a way that they serve people instead of alienating them from each other.

Your thoughts have inspired me to pay more attention to the balance between technological innovation and social responsibility in my own work.

Werner Gruber: From artificial to synthetic intelligence

Another highlight was the presentation by Werner Gruber, physicist, computer scientist and member of the Science Busters.

Under the title "From artificial to synthetic intelligence" he outlined the next development steps in the field of AI and gave fascinating insights into the world of synthetic intelligence.

Gruber explained how artificial intelligence is developing more and more characteristics that were previously considered purely human and the ethical questions that arise from this.

His presentation was not only scientifically sophisticated, but also humorous and understandable - a real highlight of the event.

As part of the day's programme, the Official award of the CMC diploma instead.

Together with other colleagues, I was honoured to receive this special award.

The ceremony was attended by prominent representatives of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and offered me a unique opportunity to present my achievements to a high-calibre audience.

For me, this moment was not only a confirmation of my previous work, but also a great motivation to continue to deliver top performance in management consultancy.

The exchange with other CMC sponsors has also shown me how valuable this network is and what opportunities it offers.

Future prospects: Sustainability and innovation

The event and the awarding of the CMC have strengthened my resolve to continue my work in the areas of Marketing and sustainability to expand further.

In a rapidly changing world, I see it as my task to support companies in shaping their strategies not only successfully but also responsibly.

My vision is to develop innovative marketing solutions that simultaneously convey and implement sustainable values.
